The 2012 FAMIS Conference begins on Monday, June 11th, at the FSU Turnbull Center in Tallahassee, FL. During the three day conference, participants from Florida’s school districts and consortiums may attend a variety of presentations provided by the Department of Education, FAMIS, and our sponsoring vendors.

The 2012 FAMIS Conference is less than 4 weeks away. It’s not too late to register.

This year’s conference will feature:
• Over 25 presentations from DOE covering Legislative changes and other topics to assist districts and consortiums.
• Presentations from our Gold & Silver vendors highlighting products and services relevant to K-12.
• District Presentations on the topics important to K-12 MIS such as Data Governance, IT Audits, Cloud Computing, and Controlling Student Owned Devices.

The times and room locations of the presentations are outlined in the printed program, which is available at the conference, and are also listed in our online agenda. Most of these presentations may also be viewed and downloaded as PowerPoint files on our website.

In addition to the FAMIS conference, the first 40 FAMIS or FLDOE members to use the complimentary registration code below will receive complimentary registration to attend the 2012 Florida CTO Clinic. The Clinic will be held on Thursday, June 14 at the Tallahassee Civic Center.

The FAMIS 2011 Conference Starts Monday, June 13th

The FAMIS Steering Committee is looking forwarding to meeting this year’s conference attendees on Monday morning. For those of you who have not booked your hotel accommodations, the Aloft Tallahassee Downtown will honor $99/night room rates for conference attendees.

Register Now for the FAMIS 2011 Conference

The Online Registration Form for the FAMIS 2011 Conference is now available for vendors, school district staff, and educational consortium members.

Attendance is $35.00 for employees of Florida school districts, consortiums and other educational institutions. Vendors may choose one of three sponsorship levels or may attend as a non-soliciting vendor for $200 per person.

Registrants may pay online using a credit card or PayPal account or may mail a check.

The registration deadline is May 30, 2011, so don’t delay!

The 2011 conference will be in Tallahassee from June 13 -15, 2011 at the FSU Turnbull Conference Center. Florida DOE will join us to cover Legislative changes and other District topics that can benefit all districts and consortiums. In addition, gold and silver sponsors will have the opportunity to present their products and services that are relevant to K-12.

To all who attended, the FAMIS Steering Committee hopes you enjoyed this year’s FAMIS Summer Conference at the Doubletree Hotel in Tallahassee. Our organization would also like to thank each of our conference sponsors whose generous support made it all possible.
